Beattie Marcus & Co is a locally
established firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Larne, supplying a wide range
of services to the people and businesses of South and East
Antrim. The firm was established in 1978 and currently consists
of 2 partners and 9 staff. It prides itself in its continuity of staff and is
a Recognised Training Firm for new Chartered Accountants. Details of both

Brian graduated from Queens
University Belfast in 1974 and trained with the firm then known as Coopers
and Lybrand in Belfast
where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1977. From then he spent
two years in industry in part of the Unilever Group before moving to
Beattie Marcus & Co as a partner in 1979. His main interests are in
financial and tax planning for the small business and in financial and
investment advice. In 2001 Brian qualified as a member, and in 2002
advanced to an associate of the Society of Financial Advisors; in 2008 he
acquired the qualification of Chartered Financial Planner. He relaxes by cycling
and keeping fit at his local gym.

Kenneth graduated from Cambridge University in 1980 and trained with
the firm then known as Price Waterhouse, where he qualified as a Chartered
Accountant in 1983 and moved into Beattie Marcus & Co to become a
partner in 1984. He is now a Fellow of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants in Ireland
and has been providing accountancy, audit, tax planning and general
business and personal financial advice for the last 15 years. He is
responsible for a wide portfolio of clients including sole traders,
partnerships, limited companies, clubs and professional practices. In 2002
Kenneth qualified as a member of the Society of Financial Advisors. Outside
work Kenneth serves on the Board of Governors of his local schools and his
leisure activities are gardening and DIY.
